Hello; I have many Questions for you!

Hopefuly you will not regret meeting me, as this could be a long and winding road we are embarking down. Unfortunatly for you your answers will proabably not be enoufgh but rather will proabably just lead me to ask more.

Heres the scoop: Today I purchased a Racer that is going to need numerous repairs. There are some fiberglass issues as well as other issues. Tonight I eagerly tore into my new project and as can be expected found many Questions.

My original Intent was to strip it down and pull it apart (completly) to do the glass repairs, in sticking with the plan I removed the cowlings and the engine assembly and pulled the wiring harness. Once all the componets including the engine had been removed I proceeded to drill the riviots out only to find that the upper hull and the lower hull are epoxyed together with a rather excelent grade of epoxy! After pondering the situation it became rather apperant that drilling the rivots was not a total loss as in the hull I discovered 36 brand new skirt segments (Not near as many to Make). It will also allow me to acess the areas inside and outside that need repairs.

And now the questions begin. What product would you recomend for the body repairs. Fabrics resins etc. Also would you recomend diffrent weights of fabric for the interior (Internal thin wall) repairs vs exterior repairs.

Now getting the horse ahead of the cart, is there a supplier that you can point me to for them wide head aluminum pop rivets or will I just have to improvise there.

What fabrics should the skirt be made of and where is it available. Also is there alternative choices or should I really go with the original.
The original skirt that is on the machine is in really tough shape and you could be save me considerable time with a breakdown of skirting. I have not attempted to investigate thouroughly yet but there are two types of skirt segments correct? The closed back and the open back? How many of each?

I have some more questions but I dont want to scare you off so we will save them till later. Thanks in advance!
