Ok, it's the only hovercraft in the world with brakes. But what exactly are the brakes and how do they work? I can think of some things but they don't seem very effective. Please reply to my email addy if you don't mind, I tend to lose track of forums ^.^

The braking system uses thrust reversers and is similar to what is used on jet aircraft. The theory behind these reversers can be found in our Light Hovercraft Design Book, which sells for $29.00.
