Neoteric President Chris Fitzgerald has been invited to participate in a British produced program called Junkyard Wars. Filmed during the first part of September in London. The series shows in the U.S.A. on the Learning Channel. Chris has been asked to lead one of the two opposing teams. However, there might be a personnel swap in which case he would become the Technical Commentator. Chris was selected from a number of U.S. hovercraft enthusiast, through an application process which focused on making and appearing in a 5 minute video about building a machine, any machine! Who would have guessed, Chris and friends Nick Jokay and Duane Ringo would select a Hovercraft to build. Foam scraps and an electric cooling fan was used. The production took place one Saturday afternoon. This segment of Junkyard Wars will feature the construction, in 10 hours, of two hovercraft by two competing teams from junk. The next day they race to a final victory. Each machine will use different technology and ideas. Watch the Learning Channel to see what happens...
