Any Neoteric dealers in Ontario, Canada?

I am wondering if there are any dealers here in Ont. Can. for Neoteric? Also, what does it cost in freight and duties to buy one of your craft and have it shipped to here, near Ottawa, Ontario, which is where I live. I own an older Cushion Flight 240, and am wondering about tradeins too!

Possibly interested

I don't know about new craft, but I would be interested in seeing your old one. Tell me more, send me pics thanks. I'm in Toronto.

About CushionFlight 240

Hi, I am near Perth, Ont. 50 miles west of Ottawa, and have a CushionFlight 240 which is in good shape, but has a damaged rear thrust hub, caused by the prop catching the netting and rudder cable. This is easily fixed, and prop is ok too, however, I don't have time to work on this, but am willing to sell this machine quite reasonable. I will keep your e-mail and if I get pics, will send them. you can see this same type of machine if you google on CushionFlight 240. It has been stored in my garage out of the weather, and has a Volkswagen 42 hp engine, in good shape, with a trailer for it too.

Interesting

I saw a similar machine on the 'hovercrft homepage' - some questions - when was the last time that it was run? Was the engine pickled or inhibited? Are there any parts which are not available which need to be replaced? A photo with a close-up of the damage would help.

It was run a year ago, but I keep the engine slowly turning and oiled the cylinders before storage anyway! It would be hard to see the damage, because it is only an internal small thing which I have straightened out, and just have to put back together to see how the mechanism works again. The engine was not inhibited in any way because it has a drive belt which took any shock off the engine. Everything like that is ok as there was very little damage to the hub, and the prop was easily straightned, as it is aluminum!

Inspection after damage

Which parts in the "hub" were damaged?

I worked around aircraft for 30 years - you would have a hard time convincing me that a prop is "ok" after striking something without having it x-rayed, dye-penetrant checked and re-balanced. Do you know the make and model of the prop?

Thanks

This is a two peice prop, it has two independent aluminum blades that attach to a reversible hub, and only one of these got hit. It seemed to straighten easily without a kink because it was a smooth bend, and not very much. I'm not sure what make Cushionflight used on these props , but they are really a simple peice of aluminum , about 24'' in length each, and work very well. It was a u-shaped fork that got slightly spread in the hub, and this was reset , and seemed the only damage as the prop was not turning very fast at the time. Anyway, I'm selling everything cheap, but if not interested I'll just keep and am thinking of going to a two engine system which would work very well with this craft, I think. I like this craft because it doesn;t need a rubber skirt, as it uses retractable brushes which work great on land, and are lifted up when on water.

Stil interested
