"Hallo, I have just finished the model: L=100 cm,B=50 cm,brushless e-motor 400 watt,weight
11lbs,bagskirt.
How is the steering of the buckets and the rudders made? the two buckets are made
as two halve circles, out of 1mm. alum.If I could get info about this, many thanks. Hovering
over short grass[ca.3cm]is no problem!! Herman Hoge The Netherlands."

"If you want to make Hovertrek style buckets for your model it's easiest to
use rigid foam (polyurethane is best) and carve to shape then fibreglass
over. After resin has cured dig out the foam and smooth the inside. The
radius of the bucket should be about 1.3 times the distance from the center
of the thrust duct to the edge of the thrust duct - the larger the radius
the more effective the bucket will be.
Control of bucket and rudders can be by model electric servo motors with
limit switches if you are going for radio control or simple push/pull cables
if not."
