Having been involved in power boating for the last 40yrs and recently been to the Southampton boat show here in the united kingdom and seen a hover craft (hovpod .com) i have become obsessed by these craft. the craft shown on this site is this suitable for the entry level in to hovering and should i buy the braking system along with the craft ? any advice would be appreciated
Many thanks
Dave

Dave, it is not clear to us if Hovpod have a reverse capability. Once you have operated a Hovercraft with reverse, you will not want to be flying in a craft which lacks this extremely useful feature. It’s akin to breaks on a car! You may be restricted to purchasing a Neoteric machine if you wish to have a fully controllable Hovercraft.

Dave,
I doubt anyone purchasing a Hovertrek ever does so without the reverse thrust system. I have one and it's amazing. I can get into situations in a river with fast flowing current approaching a log jam, and simply reverse back up stream and spin around. Without reverse thrust I'd be stuck in the branches trying to get turned around.

what should i buy

Of course I'd recommend Neoteric, but there are other hovercraft manufacturers in the UK and europe. A google search will probably tunr up plenty. I recommend you contact Nigel Squibb who is a Neoteric customer living in the UK. His email address can be found on the Hover Garage page of this web site.
