I am interested with the world wide resistance to emmissions on all water craft, typically the 2 stroke engines do not make the grade.
2 cycle engines

Neoteric uses 2 cycle (2 stroke) engines exclusively. These engines are around 30% lighter and less expensive than 4-cycle equivilants. The actual availability of comparable 4-cycle engines is extremely limited and in fact we have not found any usable equivilants. Our fuel injected engines, equipped with a catalidic converter, comply with the 2006 California Air Quality Strandards, which are the most rigid in the US, and perhaps the world.

Thanks that is good to know. What is the average operational time on such an engine, before it will need major repairs or replacement.

Expected life of our 2 cycle engines is 1000 HRS. If the engine is used in extremely dusty conditions the piston rings might require replacement after 500 HRS.
